The Perry Local Schools Board of Education has recognized Perry Girls Youth Wrestling as an official support organization of Perry Schools Girls Wrestling! Thank you to the Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer for recommending this meaningful action by the Board. This meeting agenda can be viewed here.

Due to the emerging nature of this sport, the Perry Girls Wrestling program welcomes girls from any community in Ohio or Pennsylvania to provide a girls-only environment for events, practices, and competition opportunities.

ABOUT GIRLS WRESTLING

Girls wrestling is the fastest growing sport in the country at all levels. The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has sanctioned girls wrestling as an interscholastic sport, along with 43 other states. Over 100 colleges and universities have added women’s wrestling as an NCAA sport, creating opportunities for student-athletes to continue their education. Wrestling is a sport for everyone, including all girls. Wrestling empowers girls with confidence, resilience, self-esteem, mental toughness, self-defense, physical fitness.
